We've been talking about new furniture for ages, so last we actually went to buy it. I'd looked on line for several weeks, comparing sofas and matching chairs first; we also popped into a Next store to look at their sofas.
We had to search for a sales person to buy it, but we're pleased with our buy. The colour, Sea Foam, matches our carpet and lounge that we had painted last year. Dh tried the sofa, me the chair and they are very comfortable.
I am also going to buy a recliner for myself in a light colour that will hopefully match. Curtains are next and then we're done.
We no longer like walking around large stores, its too confusing, so many different choices and I get too tired.. but the toilets there were super!
We nearly went into the restaurant, but we knew we'd be tempted and weight loss means more to us than lunch in M&S! But it looked very tasty, it was very hard to turn away.
We will give our present sofa and chairs to Emmanus, they're still looking good as the covers are washable and being Laura Ashley have kept their shape.. Delivery is next month, so we're very happy!

Your suite looks lovely! We splashed out on new bedroom furniture in the spring, replacing the original 1970s Habitat stuff we bought secondhand in 1986! I hope you are as pleased with your purchase as we are. And how lovely that the previous suite has gone yo Emmaus, to bless other people!!👍❤️💺🛋️
We did similar, in January, but we had to wait longer than you to receive our new suite. Ours is a lovely duck egg colour and we are delighted! It’s a real treat! My husband and I did, however, have slightly different ideas as he has always preferred leather furniture. But having had leather last time, I was really hoping for fabric this time! I find it more comfortable. He gave in!

Buying furniture can be hard! The stores are filled, but finding the right shape, right color and then one that feels right is overwhelming! Glad your wait isn't too long. A few years ago we bought recliners and it took 6 months to get them.
Huge stores are so confusing aren't they? My pet hate is Ikea, it's just too massive and they deliberately make you walk through every blimmin area, whether you want to or not. Annoying when you only went in for one thing! Your new suite looks really comfy.
Getting something new and fresh is fun and also a bit of a challenge.
Your choice in color sounds cheerful and still relaxing.
I finally went into and IKEA and it was not really the fun I thought it would be.
Too much worthless stuff and too many miles to see it all.
