Presents but no card!

I am so annoyed, it was my daughter's 60th birthday last week 26th September and as it was an important birthday, I went to a lot of effort to send her presents and a card. I searched for a card that didn't have an old person on it or old-ish inference. I bought it weeks ago and  posted it well in time for the day.. and it hasn't been delivered!

She got the orchids, which she loved and a cake from a reputable firm, gift wrapped and in a tin, which she said was delicious, shared at their weekend away in their holiday house. So they were all ok, but not the card!

I wanted everything just right as she has been ill.. a month ago when she went to see her Dr complaining of extreme tiredness, it was discovered she was dangerously anemic and had to have 2 units of blood! Tests since have ruled out several possible causes and she is beginning to feel a lot better, although still on medication.

I've found how to complain about undelivered letters and I will be doing that asap!

Grrrrrr!

Our post in Mew Zealand is incredibly unreliable now and the sorting offices have reduced in number - only one in each island so delivery times are really bad. But for birthdays emails just don’t suffice do they!

My daughter sent my daughter in law a birthday card, well in advance of her birthday, along with £40 enclosed in cash. It's never arrived almost a month later!!

It is so annoying when the postal service fails. Good luck with having your complaint dealt with.

The postal service is unreliable here too. Hope the card is delivered soon!

It is frustrating when the post does not deliver items when they are sent out early like your card. But your gifts were a hit with her and that counts for so much love.

Even without the card, it sounds like a lovely birthday. Glad that her anemia is getting better.

That's so frustrating! One year I sent valentines cards to my granddaughters, one got hers, the other took 3 weeks and had postmarks from all over when it arrived!

That's so annoying. I once sent a cheque for something important on the 'next day, signed for' service. It took a fortnight to get there, by which time I had complained, cancelled the cheque and arranged for a bank transfer instead.

How annoying! I usually stick the card inside the package so everything shows up at the same time.

Hopefully, the card will find its way to her, soon!
