Such sad news

Rob Burrow has died at the age of 41 after his heroic fight against the degenerative neurological condition Motor Neurone Disease. His former team Leeds Rhinos shared a heartfelt statement: "It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our beloved son, husband, father, brother and friend

This has hit me as I know someone with this decease.

Probably won't be big news with everything else going on, but people like this need to be remembered. He has fought this with such dignity with his wife supporting him through out this awful illness.

RIP Rob

Such sad news. He certainly raised awareness of MND, an absolutely terrible disease, and a new flagship centre at our local hospital, which is being named after Rob Burrow, is currently being built.

This was sad news.
He fought this disease with so much dignity and not only raised awareness for the disease but raised money for the charity too.

All the best Jan

I watched a TV programme just now in tribute to Rob, featuring his outstanding Rugby career as well as his lovely family and friends.
Boy could he run!!! Such a little guy compared to his team mates, but he outran them all to become a record goal-scorer.
He had a beautiful wife and three beautiful children. So very sad that he didn't live to see the children grow up and make more memories with them. 41 is no age at all.

My father died of MND and I confess that I found myself tearing up when I heard that this brave and inspiring man has died.
