Summer pot to Winter pot!

Last years front pot, over grown and out of shape and the rectangular shaped pot had broken.

What with the excessive heat of the summer and the deluge of the week before last, its a wonder anything survived! But I can honestly say I've never seen  plants grow so big that they crack and break their container.

So when we went to buy a new container, Dh suggested we get something really nice..but there wasn't a lot to chose from but these looked ok.. I was dubious at first but actually they look rather nice..

The plants are still  very small but they will grow and I love those mauve pink winter pansies. The pots will weather a bit I hope and the plants will grow and drape over the sides of the pots.
But we've started getting the garden winter ready, have you?
