Screaming!

Why is it that makes us want to scream and scream and scream again.. and why do women more than men feel that way?
Or perhaps men do, but don't say?
I have been plodding along following the SW food plan to the letter and over the last 5 weeks I've only lost 3 pounds.. but now I've discovered my thyroxine dose isn't high enough. So no matter what I did, I would not have lost any large amounts of weight. I suppose the one thing in its favour is that, by keeping to the plan, it has kept me from gaining a whole big weight gain, but that doesn't make up for the amount of effort I've made this last few months. Never mind the cost of the weekly SW fee I spent.
Its so frustrating and depressing I feel like crying! And I  did when the scales said 0.5 pounds gain this morning.
And because of this weight problem, everything else seems wrong.

I suppose the one good thing is I have clothes that fit me and look decent.. because when I first started gaining weight 4 years ago bought some really decent clothes from that Norwegian firm https://www.gudrunsjoden.com/en-gb so I have some lovely dresses to wear. The beauty of this firm is the clothes for the bigger woman are still stylish and the sleeves are not too long, nor is the neck gaping.. some cheaper firms make the clothes big all over, so things look like ill fitting tents!
If you've never had a weight problem you will never understand how I feel about this and how it affects my life.  It dictates my moods, how I react to situations and how I can be with other people. I haven't even written my blog, nor have I visited any, so must put that right.

I felt down and just gave in and the rain last week didn't help.. anyway a blood test booked for 8th Oct.. took me 48.3 mins on the phone to do that, so I can go from there.
Its going to be Pysgod a Sglodion tonight for a change!

A calming photo of the Lookout from the sandhills, taken from FB, sooths my soul.

Wishing you the best on fixing this medicine mistake. What a concern as you try so hard to stick to healthy eating.

I understand Chris, I've had a weight problem all my life. As fast as I've lost a stone here and there, life happens and it goes back on again. And it gets harder to lose weight then older I get.

I'm sorry you're feeling down.
I've struggled with weight all my life. I think I've gone up and down, up and down like a yo-yo. A few years back I decided no more. I've been stable for quite a while. I'm still fluffy, but it doesn't bother me so much anymore. My goal is to try to eat better as I tend not to eat meals just snack and I know I need to do better that way.

It’s so annoying isn’t it when you know you have stuck to the plan.Personally I never did any good with Slimming World.I found Weight Watchers much better.Loosing around 8 stone a few years ago obviously I’ve jigged up and down since .Hope you find a solution that helps you xx Kath

I love the color palette of clothing at the site you linked. Cute styles too.

I know all too well about working against your thyroid gland when it comes to controlling your weight. All we can do is try not to cry over weeks of trying with little results and look forward to feeling better when the high dose of thyroid kicks in.

I haven't had a weight struggle and I put this down to only eating when I'm hungry, not being an overeater. I don't like fizzy drinks, if there's a lot of sugar content it's noticeable. I cut out fatty meats, even tho I like them, to keep my cholesterol down. Back in the day people went to Weightwatchers, the social aspect seemed to make it more fun.

Grrr - I get it. It's so frustrating when you know you're eating right and the scales don't move. Hopefully the thyroid level can be straightened out soon.

I look at that site with real desire... the clothes and styles are wonderful. Fo you suppose when you get your dose adjusted your previous experience in sticking to the plan will help your weightloss be more satisfying? I do hope so.

They make beautiful clothes don't they, a very worthwhile investment, but to build the outfits that they show in the catalogues would cost a small fortune. It's a good job they last for years and don't date unlike a lot of other 'fashions'.
