What on earth is going on? The Epstein business/scandal has spread even further into our little island.
The PM has stood up and accepted that he made a dreadful mistake in making Mendelson our representative in America and has apologized profusely.
We've looked at a discussion programme, that dealt with it this morning and something that was suggested, was that Mendelson was right for the job because he was of the same 'ilk' as Trump... sort of 'use a thief to catch a thief?
It all has a dirty feel to it and of course the King's own brother is involved too.
Makes me realise how much better our ordinary every day life is.. who'd want to be an MP or even a Royal when your friend choices could come back and bite you on the 'bum!'
A while ago I was friends with someone whose actions were very much against my way of thinking and I dropped her. She couldn't see that her actions was destroying a family. Her reasoning was that the married man wasn't happy with his wife, so her association with him was alright.
I know this is no where like the Epstein affairs whose actions were like ripples on a murky pond, but accepting someone's actions are in my view, as bad as committing them yourself.
Not that I am whiter than white, but I couldn't ever condone lies that destroyed people.
What's going to happen with the PM, will he or won't he resign?
Hopefully not, because who'd replace him.. there's not a great choice.
What do you think?

I just wonder how many people in parliament, show business, royalty etc will be wondering what comes out next. Xx
The whole lot seem corrupt! People in power sometimes think they are above being 'found out' but the truth will always come out, the sooner our OPM is gone the better IMO, goodness knows how he is hanging on! but like you say who would replace him, we would perhaps be better with a general election.
There's not much choice for an alternative, is there?
There seems no end of corruption and bad action every where. Here, I wish that we had a good president. No need to say more as his actions speak for them selves.
Lord Acton is quoted as saying in the 1880s
"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
I think that we are seeing this played out in front of us.
I can't fathom all that either. But I think its unfair the King is saddled with an irresponsible brother he didn't grow up with. We have a PM who spends all his time jetting around the world, his nickname is 'Airbus Albo' (Mr Albanese). The Coalition are in a mess and can't challenge Labor unless they get their act together.
People, who were involved with Epstein are far and wide. Money and power gets a lot of people in trouble.
