I'm loving this trail camera and have had visitors every night, and day.. no foxes but apart from birds, we have 3 visiting cats!
And how cheeky they are! A white one,,
A tortoiseshell one.
And the cheekiest is a black and white one.. he/she peers right into the camera.
They all seem to be walking through, no 'messages' left!
I'm hoping we'll have hedgehogs again this year... we do have squirrels, but they usually skip along the fence, so we'll try angling the camera up to see them.
Yesterday was my first weigh in with SW.. I was pleased my gain was only 2 1/2 pounds so I can easily be back to my pre-Christmas weight in a week or two. But its been hard getting back on the 'plan', Its not chocolates, wine or cake, its cream to thicken soups and sauce and sausage rolls and pate! The cheesy potato with cold duck and pork on Boxing Day was melt in your mouth delicious!
So now its back to the plan, which is new! Now we can have 3 healthy extras which are now not called healthy extras... but I'm so pleased. because if you want you can have 2 slices of whole meal bread, great a proper sandwich!
So I'm really going for it now, I'm too old for this, so this is going to be my last year.

That was fun seeing what your camera saw. Thanks for sharing. I would say your best goal in 2026 is simply to know you're eating healthy food.
More and more people are getting game cams and seeing what lurks at night. I'm glad you're enjoying yours and it makes me want to get one, too.
We have a black cat that visits our garden, since we no longer have the dogs the cheeky little thing comes right in through the cat flap and steals Ginger's food.
I would get a trail cam if I didn't live in an apartment. Heck, I keep trying to justify getting one anyway. One of these days those cats will be bringing kittens by.
I think you are going to have a lot of fun watching the animals that appear in your garden when they think your not watching them.
I've become more accepting of my weight. It's where my body wants to be at 75.
It's fun having a trail camera. We see bear, deer, coyote, and foxes on ours.
Good luck getting back on the weight loss program. :)
Love the trail cam shots! We have a fox we see on our security camera regularly.
Ooh, I'd love to get a trail cam for my garden! Even without one, I know I have cats, raccoons, possums, and at least one skunk!
Happy New Year to you, Chris, and may this year be filled with happiness and good health.
I think you are going to enjoy your trail cam.
Have a good weekend, and stay warm it has got very cold.
All the best Jan
I like the parade of startled cats! I think this is a great present, just the thing for wildlife lovers.
Cats roaming free are a problem. They are a danger to our native animals so councils have rules about keeping cats enclosed.
Happy New Year to you. You always find such interesting topics for your blog. I love reading it.
Fortunately the WA govt overrides councils when they come out wanting to have the same rules for cats as dogs. You don't have to keep your cat enclosed.
