We have lovely flowers flowering in my garden, which is my love, but I'm in the depths of despair, all by one thing that happened last week. 2 that's what it said.. 2 pounds on!
How did that happen we had stuck religiously to the SW plan, didn't even have a cheat Friday after weighing, so how? Its not like we had a Chinese Take away or even fish n chips.
So I wasn't just disappointed I was devastated and could have cried, of course I didn't.. the previous week a young woman had tears, because she's at her target weight, but wants to go down another half stone. Honesty if she stood sideward in front of you, you couldn't see her, she's that thin!
So I'm battling on and what's even worse, going up in the Surgery lift on Monday, the mirror showed me full length, I'm grotesque, fat isn't a good enough word to describe me. How did I lose 3 pounds 2 weeks ago and gain 2 pounds last week! I'd planned to lose 4 stone by my birthday in December, so at the moment I'm not going to do it.
I've arranged for a blood test to have my thyroid checked, is it that? And I've been walking, but I've struggled my arthritic knee is very unpleasant, so I have to take my time. But I am trying.. isn't life hard sometimes?

Sorry to that the weight loss plan didn't work out the way you wanted. May be a check-up will reveal what went wrong.
Oh dear. Losing weight is so hard isn’t it? I have been diligently trying this past month and have shed 2kilograms but it comes off much slower than it goes on! I call mine bereavement kilos as I put them on since my mother died and I now Need them off! Would it were that simple. Cheering you on from New Zealand🙂
It is really hard sometimes. But don't give up. I'm drinking more [tea or water] because of the heat, and I think that makes my "ambient" weight heavier. And I'm moving less, and more slowly - so burning fewer calories.
That is the big problem with wanting to lose weight; so much of yourself and your happiness gets invested into what the scales say. It can seem like a relentless uphill battle an 4 stone is a massive target. Maybe the GP can offer some help. Praying for you.
Don't get discouraged. You have been trying your best and that is all one can be expected to do. Hopefully nothing is otherwise wrong but a blood test would help in that discovery. I so enjoy your pink flower, I used to have those in another yard, we called them Spider Plants. Stay strong.

As I age (83) losing weight is not easy for me, not that I am overweight to the extreme, but feel more comfortable with a number on the lower side when stepping on the scale. I do chair yoga three times a week, it makes me feel better. Try to walk at least 3 kms on the other days of the week, depending on the weather, either too hot or too cold keeps me in the small gym upstairs in the apartment complex. Trying to eat healthy and drink more water.
Disappointing, yes, but please don't be so hard on yourself. You are NOT grotesque, you are alive and thriving and funny, and I love reading here. So many of us are in the same battle, but each day is a gift, don't let this get you down. Hugs from here in New York.
Never got on with Slimming World but lost around 10 stone with Weight Watchers a few years ago yeah I’ve put a couple back but it was still worth while.Mo’s slimming world on Facebook is a good read she’s been at target around 12 years very informative and helpful if you want to take a look.Just to say I don’t know her personally and won’t gain anything for this suggestion.Just don’t give up it’s worth it xx
It's so hard isn't it, and very disappointing to get on those scales and see a gain. Perhaps as someone has already said, drinking extra water in this heat could be the issue or perhaps you need to change things up with your meals, just a thought. I'm not a huge fan of SW, never known anyone keep the weight off once they reach target, it's too restricting. Someone I know has lost almost 5 stone now calorie counting and using the Nutra Check app, it's how I lost 2 stone last year too. Nothing is off limits but you can learn more about portion size and hidden calories, and after all it's the calories we need to cut when trying to loose weight, might be worth taking a look at.
