Did you see the interview with Prince Harry.. far for me to say, but he sounded like a young man who has lost his way. He said his father the king didn't want to know him. Did you hear him say he was sorry? I didn't so, although he says he wants to return here, he says to his country. Here to the country he turned his back on, left and then wrote a book criticizing his family.
I think he might have to do some serious groveling and even then he might not get the answers he is now asking for.
His wife Megan is starting all sorts of new ventures, as though there's not enough in her life. While his brother William and Catherine love to show their children, the Sussex's are keeping theirs off camera.
Given a choice I'd chose Will and Kate every time. Mum and daughter, on Charlotte's 10th birthday.

The interview did paint a picture of someone quite lost. It's hard to see how a return to the UK would be straightforward without some significant reconciliation.

It is a very difficult situation, and very, very sad. I would say that the problems they face go further back than recent years. Harry was always the spare. I remember vividly watching Diana returning home and greeting the two boys after she had been away for some time on a royal tour. She ran towards William and gave him the biggest smile and biggest hug imaginable and poor little Harry was standing to one side watching it all before he finally got acknowledged. Also. In my opinion, he was far too young to be made to walk behind his mother's coffin on the day of her funeral which must have had an incredible impact on him. To be honest, I don't think the royal family have taken sufficient care of Harry. and the impact that the death of Diana has had on him. Also, after everything that happened with Diana, they've been a lot more careful with Catherine. Like all dysfunctional families, there are more than. there are more than one side to every story and the unfortunate thing for the dysfunctional family that is our royal family is it's all being played out in the public eye, and I don't think we know half of what's behind the situation.
When you're in a hole, keep digging. He will return to UK when his marriage fails.
I think Harry has a very valid point. He didn't ask to be born into the royal family or to be son of a King. How fast will everyone shout when, as will happen one day, either he or one of his family are kidnapped or killed? An active member of the royal family or not he should be given the security he needs without any questions being asked the terrorists must be delighted he isn’t being protected properly.
As for the issues with his father there are two sides to every story, and we are only hearing one.
Personally, I think the vilification of Harry and Megan in our press is appalling, he is a man who served his country in active service, risking his life, but wasn't allowed to wear a uniform to his grandmother's funeral like the rest of the males in his family. The hypocrisy in that act alone says a lot about what the royal family stands for. I have nothing against the members of the royal family I know someone whose life was turned around by the brilliant work of the Prince’s Trust in the 1980s, they do some very valuable work, but I do think they have their values a little bit back-to-front, to my mind it is always family first not your job. At the end of the day all Harry wanted to do was change his job.
It's very sad. I think Megan is the worst thing to happen to him.
Best wishes to all of them.
I agree with Rustic Pumpkin (up above). I've always felt sorry for Harry. But I think he's got a strong marriage and I do hope he can make peace with his Father and brother someday.
I think that Harry's biggest mistake was to quit the Army - that had provided him with a substitute family, and safe spaces to relax. And some outlets for him to been seen to be serving in a way that differentiated him from William.
Without the Army he became rudderless and prey to a Z-list minor actress with delusions of grandeur, with I think predictable consequences.
Interesting reading but I don't know much about the family.
Charlotte looks so much like her dad.
So sad when a family's troubles are aired before the world. I pray they can resolve their differences, before too late.
I don't know enough about the situation to comment.
