Ta-da.. YEH!

I have loved knitting this, even though the stitches grew to over 250! It is going to be glorious to wear in the winter, the wool is very soft and feels warm.
As I was sewing in the ends last evening my knees were being kept cosy, as the evenings are definitely cooler. The cast off edge was a roll stitch so looks chunky and very nice.
So now on to my next knit, where the back and two sides are knitted as one, I expect one row will be as long as an episode of East Enders??
I have also started the quilt for #2 grandson. It's made up of jelly strips and although there are some dark colours, it is very blue!
Happy days of sewing and knitting, but I am missing the sun already!
Do you hate winter days too?

Good Morning, Chris, It has been a while since I have visited so this morning I am trying to catch up with friends. I love your shawl and it looks like it will be really warm. You love to knit like I like to do hand embroidery. I enjoy it and it travels. We spoil our grandchildren. Have a great day. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend Shirley

Winter is not my favorite time mostly because of the shorter days. The colors are very pretty.

Love the shawl, a wonderful winter warmer. I like the cosy feel of Winter, scented candles and seeing the flickering flames of the stove. I am not a fan of the snow, but thankfully we don't get a lot here.

Shawl knitting is lovely. That's a really great pattern I love the stripes. You can never have enough shawls especially cosy wool ones.

I'm not a fan of the cold and dark of winter, but of course knitting is some compensation. I like your shawl very much. In all my years of knitting I've never made one, but I have the yarn and pattern all ready for my first. I'm going to cast on just as soon as I've finished knitting for my jumper tutorial photos.
