My Greatest Pleasure

I managed to read 87 books in 2016.. and I really liked these:-

Apple Tree Yard by Louise Doughty.
Stone Cradle by Louise Doughty.
When Breath becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi,
Circling the Sun by Paula McLain.
A Thousand Blue by Stuart Finne.
Not Without my Daughter by Betty Mamoody.
Light Between Oceans by M L Stedman.
In Falling Snow by Mary Rose MacColl.
A Tree Grew in Brooklyn by Betty Smith.
My Real Children by Jo Walton.

Although I liked them all; I rarely read a book I don't like, but sometimes I persevere if it's the choice of my reading group.
Reading is my greatest pleasure and thank God my duff arm has allowed me to read, even if I couldn't do much else.
I am looking forward to new books in 2017, I don't often read a book twice although I have by mistake, that's why I keep a record of books read. Do you have a favourite author or book?

I have a book page at the top of my blog page, I keep a photo of every book I read, it's a great way to keep up with my reading. This month in work we will start our library, We have space for loads of books. I swap books with ladies in work and have found some new to me authors.

Well done on your reading. I too keep a list of what I have read. I do sometimes re-read a book. My ancient old copy of Florence Barclay's The Rosary brings me to tears every time and I must have read it at least 50 times:-). When re-reading old favourites it's rather like catching up with an old friend :-)

IO read 114 books last year , a bit improvement on the previous couple of years. I now write them all down in a book to try and keep track lol. I do re-read quite often but prefer it to be intentional and as I use the library a lot it has been known for me to borrow one I've already read by mistake.
I tend to find an author I like and then get loads of their books. I took over 100 books to a charity shop last year , but am restocking admirably ,lol.
Happy New Year , hope it brings lots of improvement for your arm .xxx

Sadly reading is one of the first things I let go when I am busy, I am going to try and read a little more this year.

Happy New Year, Chris. I hope that 2017 is a good year for you and that the doctors will be able to help you with your arm this year.
After stitching, reading is one of my passions. I always have a book on the go.

Wow Chris! That is a LOT of books! I read the whole Bible through two years ago. I am currently reading the Maisie Dobbs series. Love it!

My favourite writer is Marion Keyes. But one of my favourite books is 'Long Walk in Wintertime' by Libby Purvis. It's set where I live
