Bad news about my arm!!

My broken arm goes on and on and on, grrrrrrr!! Today I have seen a very nice Consultant whose name was Ravi Ray! (nice name!)My humerus has not healed, here I am week 28 and it still hasn’t healed. But I am having exogen treatment which is ultra sound on my arm where the fracture is, 20 minutes each day. Because it is a very expensive treatment the consultant had to apply for it and it has been approved so I suppose I should be grateful but I have gone a long time with no treatment at all, except for the brace which I hated at first, but I  have got used to it and I feel secure when I am wearing it as it protects my arm. This treatment is for 12 weeks!! Can you believe that, 12 more weeks or maybe more? I don’t understand because I am taking extra calcium and multivitamins and doing the exercises….

I am fed up and having trouble getting jumper sleeves over the brace.. so this afternoon diet out the window and I have had toasted currant bun with lots of butter… yummy. So I am keeping positive and praying, surely this will work!  So please remember me in your prayers, I need lots.

Awe I am sorry your still going through this.... It is surely for the best that you have more treatment. It's good that you have the funding, maybe this will do the trick?
I should be taking calcium supplements twice a day, I really dislike them... They just taste like eating chalk from a school blackboard! I am yet to find one I like, I keep getting told off by the GP!
I wish you a happier recovery, do keep smiling.... Hang in there :)
Smiles :)

So sorry for you your arm won't heal fast and properly, despite all the things you do and do not to make it better. This must be very frustrating, and also hard to keep positive feelings about the future. You are a very courageous woman!

So sorry you're still suffering with your arm.
I hope the treatment will help.
Try to get as much calcium as you can, to help your bone! Eat plenty of dairy products :)

Good Morning Chris, I am sorry about your arm. Hugs and Prayers are being sent long distance. You can never have to many of them. Hope the treatment works. I wondered why didn't they put it in a caste instead of a brace. My sister is in a cast because she broke her right arm and she is right handed. She is not a happy camper about it. Take care. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend Shirley

I am SO sorry you are going through all this. I have to ask - did the surgeon put any pins in your arm to help mobilize it and to help it heal? If not, you should ask about that. Or maybe they didn't because your bones are either too soft or too brittle. Either way, this is a real bummer! I know how frustrated I was with my ankle, but this for you must be beyond frustrating! Praying that things turn around and your arm starts binding itself together.

I hope everything goes well and you are healed soon, a long recovery does take it out of you. Love the pick me up of a bun with loads of butter.
