When Dh and I were married his twin daughters were 16, we had what only could be called, 'air clearing moments!' Lots of talk about school work. (As well as the expense of washing one pair of jeans and then putting the same into the tumble drier!) They watched 'Friends' over and over, so much so that they could chime in with the dialogue.
When I drove back to the house as I drove up I could see them through the window hurriedly switch off the TV, so were sitting with school books in front of them, when I came in, They were supposed to be studying for their 'A' Levels.
But years earlier my own daughter in her first half term break from UNI, raved about 'Neighbours' I didn't even know there were programmes in the day time. I was a teacher, so wasn't home during the day and holidays were filled with things I liked to do. And as I was brought up in a home without TV, it didn't feature highly in my life.
But I have a confession, I have discovered, 'Frasier' I love watching it and am in great admiration of the script writers and the actors! There are 274 episodes over 11 series each one with 24 episodes. I'm on series 11. When I've seen them all I'd be happy to watch them all over again!
Do you have a favourite TV Programme? Perhaps I'm making up for my youth when I didn't have a TV to watch?

OOh, if we're having confession time I'll own up to rewatching and rewatching every episode of Mash.
Yes, I do have two favourites! The first is ‘Foyle’s War’, a drama set during and just after WW2. The second is a series of programmes called, ‘Out of Town’, produced by Southern TV in the 1960s/ 1970s and presented by Jack Hargreaves. I turn to these, (as I have the DVDs),when the TV viewing doesn’t appeal!
So glad the patio has turned out well with a bit of compromise. That must be a great relief.
I watch a lot of YouTube and the playback channels, like iPlayer.

We used to watch Frasier when it was first broadcast, & really enjoyed it. Maybe we should start watching it again! I really enjoyed "Friends" when it was first shown, but I think it shows its age now. We're revisiting "Spin City" with Michael J Fox - again, parts haven't aged well, but it is still funny. I also enjoy Young Sheldon (possibly more than the original Big Bang Theory)
I'm a fan of crime drama - so we have been re-watching "Shetland" from the beginning, "The Bay", various scandi-noir, including "Beck" and are now watching a Finnish drama called "Arctic Circle".
I've never watched Frasier but I know nearly every episode of Friends word for word, not because I've watched it myself but because Eleanor used to watch it on a loop when she lived at home and I couldn't miss it!
Hi Chris, I am Frasier fan for sure, and never tire of watching the reruns, I m not a fan of scary movies, if my husband watches one I run out of the room when something gross is about to happen and I tell him to tell me when I come back. Ha ha
