Further progress...

....albeit small. This morning I was able to put on my own pop socks( still can't manage tights) hurrah!! DH said he was already beginning to feel redundant, but within a minute of him saying that I had to have help to put on my bra! And I still can't manage a cardi, jumper or jacket, so he still has his job as chief dressing helper!
But each little act of progress gives me such a happy feeling. My next hospital appointment is Nov 2nd, so I wonder what the x-ray will show? I am ever hopeful...
Around here the leaves are changing colour, autumn is truly here. I was remembering the excitement one year of my year 6 class in a school in Basildon, when I showed them how we could use the fallen leaves for printing and making patterns. Some of the children did some very pretty and attractive pictures, I wonder where those children are now? It was over 20 years ago, they'd all be 30 something now? Happy times for me! Do any of you reminisce about times past?

Glad to hear you are making progress however small. I used to do leaf printing with my girls when they were small, lovely memories.

My granddaughter was on half term holidays this past week and we collected leaved and did leaf rubbing with her crayons, we both loved it and had great fun outside and indoors afterwards. Its the simple things that sometimes are the best.
So good to read you are seeing small improvements with each passing week.

Oh Chris! I haven't been over to your blog for a while and feel so badly for what you're going through with your arm. Will they put pins in it during the op? My back has become bad again - when I had my triple fusion in 2009, the surgeon said I'd have to have L5 done in about 5 years time. Well, I will make it to the 8th year in January. But I am going to see him again about it because I find my legs are getting so weak that I've fallen several times - latest one was 2 weeks ago in the park and I bashed both my shins on some tree roots that were going across the path. I honestly thought I'd broken them but they were x-rayed and okay in that regard. But the recovery has been so slow that I started going to physiotherapy. Seems to be helping...but...You are very lucky that your hubby is so considerate and patient. And you're able to do your knitting, too! But I do know and understand the frustration. Take care and keep us all apprised of what will be happening and when!
