Summer has arrived!!

My Summer exchange has arrived so I can now show it.. it is stitched on Cream 32c linen with variegated threads from Vicky Clayton and Crescent Colours. Its called 'Once upon a Tree:Summer'and designed by Jeanette Douglas. I loved stitching it as it had lots of specialised stitches all learnt on a stitching couple of days with Sue Hawkins

Its backed with the fabic shown in the photo.

And I added some little gifts as well, Glad Rachael liked them all

And here is a corner of my summer garden, all grown from seed especially the grasses and wheat and oats all courtesy of DH bird feeding hangers!!


And some beautiful pelagoniums in our conservatory which I think are the best conservatory flowers you can have, so summery!!

A present for me and a present from me!!

My fob from Exchange Heaven
Isn't this the most delicate and pretty fob and she made it into a little winnie needle case. It is so beautifully stitched and made up..just look at the little loop and stitch button and in the most beautiful colours.. thank you Amanda.. I love it.If you click on the pic it will show the detail.


And my exchange for the year long Prairie Schooler exchange has arrived so I can post a picture of it now. And if I say I liked it enough to keep it for me, Gaynor will know just what I mean!! Lynn, who received it liked it too.

Chocolates and Apples!

This is the beautiful hanging that Michelle made me for the food theme in Exchange Heaven. The stitching is perfect and just look at the apple fabric isn't gorgeous.. I love it and it is hanging in our conservatory which is my little room!



This was my effort for Sue. I actually covered a tin.. It wasn't as difficult as I thought although I think I should have used a hot glue gun to attach the stitched piece to the top.. but as the backing was card double sided tape worked.



And of course I could hardly send it without chocs inside!!
