UFOs

Have you heard of or read of 'analogue' bags? Its the opposite of digital. Some thing ready for you to do instead of being on line? It could be a book or an unfinished item or something new to sew or knit. I have 3 unfinished  knitting projects all stopped by my broken arm. All my cross stitch unfinished items went to a charity shop last year. It wasn't easy to let them go and I tried a few times to stitch, but my arm just wouldn't do it.

So it was time to let them go and perhaps I could do the same with the knitting, free myself of the guilt of not completing them and free up some cupboard space..so before the end of January that's what I intend to do!

  1. I have several UFOs unfinished objects mainly books. Maybe reading is a winter thing and we're entering heatwave number 3. I don't see much craft at the charity shops so I don't know what people do with their unfinished cross stitch.
Perth is no longer the shark capital (on my bio) there's been 4 shark attacks in 24 hrs in Sydney. It a particular annoyance to me they refuse to cull sharks, as if sharks are more important than people.

  3. That's a good goal, but it is hard to let go of projects. I have some crafty things that I am hanging onto that I may not do again, but I'm not quite ready to do that. I still have plans. :)

  5. I had to let go of a few cross stitch projects last year. They were very detailed and intense and just sitting there, so they had to go, but it's not easy!

  6. I had to let go of cross stitch due to my terrible eyesight. I am at peace with it after many years!

  7. It's hard to let go of something we like doing but if you can no longer do it or it does not spark joy It's for the best and can be quite freeing.

  9. Sounds like a wise decision if you can't do it anymore. I'm sure someone will be glad to finish them.
I have a few projects I'm working on and keep them in different baskets!!

  11. My daughter has sold most of the case full of tapestries I made over the years. I am decluttering before moving to a smaller bungalow soon and surprisingly she has made me quite a few £ . I have kept a small one to be framed when I get wherevere I land up!!

  12. It is a shame that you can't do some of the crafting things you used to enjoy but you have made the right decision to let go of some of them.

  13. Sorry to hear about your arm. Hope it's mending.
That's a very nice and inspirational quote you have there. It's always a good idea to let go of somethings, especially those that are beyond one's reach.
