This is my new rose, apply named 'Tottering by Gently'
Thankyou for all the very kind comments in my previous post, I won't be going on a travellator ever again. It's made me nervous about using the bus too.
My 'tail' is very uncomfortable to sit. I'm not just bruised, but the skin had split too. Fortunately I had bought some Rescue cream for a skin abrasion, where my bra had rubbed on my side, in all the hot weather, and its been amazing, sooths the soreness right away, so with pain killers I'm surviving! I've a few weepy times with some flash backs remembering of falling backwards, while my feet were still going forward with the 'ground' moving up! But I hung onto the hand rail so went down gently with Dh holding my head up, so it could have been a lot worse.
I'm making my way around all your blogs, reading them and leaving comments. Thank you all again.
I had ordered the rose last week, I think I saw it on Gardeners World and bought it from David Austin's and as soon as I opened the box it came in, I was delighted. Nothing like a present to yourself to lift your mood. And I should also add that ice-cream has helped too!!

Ice cream works, I swear. Glad you are recovering nicely!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful rose and glad it is helping you to feel better. Rescue cream always amazes me and it’s good that you had some to hand. Catriona
ReplyDeleteI think I can just about imagine the shock of falling backwards whilst travelling upwards and forwards, it must have been such a shock to your system no wonder it keeps coming back to you. I think lifts are definitely the way forward from now on.
ReplyDeleteI love that your new rose is named 'Tottering by Gently', something you should definitely be doing while you heal. xx
I can only imagine how scary that was. I'm glad you're doing ok. Love the rose and the name of it!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you are soon out of discomfort! How annoying.
ReplyDeleteI’ve often looked at the rose you mentioned; I love the name! I’m glad that it has helped to cheer you up! Take care! 😄
That new beautiful yellow rose will help in your recovery. Just looking at it will give healing powers, it just has to. I love yellow roses and I see that color so seldom but when I do, I have to see if I can pull off the road and stare a bit.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're on the mend. I've found that Arnicare is good for bruising. I used it on granddaughter's sore arms after she had three vaccinations required at age 11.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful rose. I do like single ones, rather than the big, blowsy kind. I also like ice cream - a lot!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, ice cream would certainly help. Hope your healed and back to normal right quick.
ReplyDeleteIt must have been very scary, but pleased you are slowly recovering ... bumps and bruises do take time. Be patient, take care and look after yourself.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I'm glad you are recovering from your incident. I think "Tottering By Gently" is a beautiful rose with a very unique name. I saw it recently at a nearby nursery and debated buying it just for the name!
