The bathroom needed cleaning,
The lounge windows needed cleaning,
The lounge carpet needed a vac,
The bedding needed changing,
And the washing machine had finished.
But there were 4 British girls playing tennis at Queens
So that's what we did, we sat and cheered for Emma Raducanu, Heather Watson, Katie Boulter, and Sonay Kartal.
It was so exciting and they all won, hurrah!
We shall watch some more and keep cheering
We love watching it and so the housework was left!
When I was 10 my Aunt bought me everything to play. A pretty tennis outfit, a super tennis racket and pushed me to join the Tennis Club. I was never any good, when the ball hit my racket my arm went back and when I did hit the ball, it hardly got over the net! So I left and had piano lessons instead! I didn't mind, it didn't interest me.
But as I've aged I've grown to love watching it.. and so does Dh!
The washing was pegged out on the line and dried, the bed was made up fresh and I did a quick swoosh of the bathroom! Windows can wait, because there's more tennis tomorrow!

I was rubbish at tennis when we had lessons at school, but I also love watching it too. Unlike a lot of sports, I find it really fascinating and the rules are easy to understand.
Nice to see so many British girls playing. Things are looking more hopeful for women's tennis here after lots of poor years
The jobs will wait, and when those are done there'll always be more to do, so take the time to do the things you enjoy.
Sounds like some exciting entertainment. Much more entertaining than housework I can guarantee.
Queens seems much friendlier than Wimbledon. I've only just started watching tennis again
Housework can always wait, and usually does in our house.
Much the same needs doing here. The month of June is calling though. Can’t waste a minute on housework.
Good for you! You watched and still got your stuff done.
I could never play tennis either, and I also did much better at piano!
The housework will always be waiting for us!!!
I tried to play tennis and took a lesson years ago. The teacher told me it would be better if I stuck with badminton.
I think you got your priorities absolutely right. Housework will always be there waiting.
