VE Celebrations..
Dh and I watched and enjoyed the spectacle,, one thing our Country does well is a parade.
The 31 veterans who were there were aged 99 to 101!
We all can't thank them enough for all they did to enable us to live in our land free today,

To veterans every where, a big thank you!
ReplyDeleteSo true! That generation was special!
ReplyDeleteWhen put to the test, most generations step up, thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteThank you to all those who gave so much for our freedom today. Let's not forget them as time moves onwards.
ReplyDeleteI watched the VE day parade on television.
ReplyDeleteIt was wonderful to see the parade and crowds ... so important to always remember those who gave so much.
All the best Jan
Wonderful pics to record the day. Lest we forget.
ReplyDeleteMy Dad was stationed there in England on May 6, 1945! At Steeple Morden airbase, near Cambridge. I read his letter home to America on that date, so very excited. He'd already married my mum, an English girl from Cambridgeshire, in January.
